Exotic Places to Find Your Soulmate: In the Air
Now, there are several ways to interpret this article's title. Meeting your soulmate in the air doesn't necessarily mean that you are floating through the void or something like that. What is really meant is that you have a wonderful opportunity to meet your soulmate taking advantage of one of modern life's greatest conveniences: the airplane.
Being on a plane is like being up in your own little world. For the most part, you can be alone with your thoughts, in the midst of clouds. Unless you brought someone with you or have an unpleasant neighbor, you will probably not talk much while on a plane trip, especially a long one.
The silence and isolation produced by being on a plane can be fertile ground for deep, introspective thinking, the type that can change a life. And indeed, if you have the good fortune of being seated beside someone interesting, you might even want to share your thoughts with that person. With luck, that person might open up to you too, and a wonderful relationship can blossom.
You might balk at the idea of talking your mind with a total stranger, but it might surprise you to know that most people do just that. Sometimes it's easier to open up to the people we don't really know; people who we might not even see again. There's just something therapeutic about being able to talk about what's on your mind to a friendly ear, even if you might never ever see that ear again.
So the next time you're on a plane, try talking to your neighbor. Take your chances, and you just might be pleasantly surprised by the result.
