However, it must be said that Katy Perry is definitely not a bisexual. She has never claimed to be one. All the rumors started only because of the songs and their lyrics. In fact, Katy has to face a lot of criticism for these songs because many people felt that she was promoting homosexuality and therefore, promiscuity through her songs.
In fact, even Katy's parents were shocked with the songs. Her mother gave an interview claiming that she was shocked with the song, Kissed a Girl, and it clearly promoted homosexuality. And, she and her husband had already passed on their disapproval and disappointment to Katy.
Many people believe that it is strange for Katy Perry to come up with songs like these considering her parents are Christian pastors and she grew up in a religious family listening just to gospel music. However, Katy is not apologetic about these songs, especially Kissed a Girl. She feels that the song is mischievous and no way does it promote anything. All she wanted to do was promote herself as a songwriter with the help of this song.
However, Katy Perry is turning into a gay and bisexual icon. And, the rumors on her sexuality will not stop.
