The first ever step would be to fix and reserve the venue for the event without waiting till the last moment. The next action in the agenda would be to arrange for transportation and the charges that would be levied, so that one is not stranded. Tickets are also no less easy. The sooner you buy them, the lesser would be the price. As the date approaches near, so would the cost go higher!
Going for a prom night without a company is meaningless. A special friend or at least a good classmate would make the prom enjoyable. So it is better to have a word with any of them and fix up a date.
