There are some preparations to be done for prom and it is bound to be costing a lot, if not a fortune. It has to be the best possible and yet fitting the budget. If the planning is done well in advance, things can be different and workable. Particularly if it is about the dress, shopping early is good as there would be time to look out for bargain and deals. The same rule applies for accessories too. Without a matching accessory, things look weird and incomplete. Budgeting for jewelry and hairdos may or may not work here.
Prom nights are often on tickets that include a romantic location and DJs who make people tap their feet and dance. The ticket price may or may not include dinner. One may have to spend some additional amount for food. People normally drive themselves and their only expenses would be gas for the vehicle. But if one is renting out a limo or any other vehicle, getting into a group would work out cheaper.
One major and important expense would be the make up and hair-do. Getting the job done on a lesser cost may land in messing up the whole dress and its impact. All in all a handful of things may cost you quite a lot, but it is not every night a prom party happens, so it is worth it.
