Sample Introduction Speech To Speed Dating Event
A speed dating event is one where people get together to meet their dates and after a brief session of 5-10 minutes, they decide whether they have mutual likes and move further with their alliance. |
There are lots of singles who attend a speed dating event in the hope of finding someone they like. Hence, before the actual event starts, there is a welcome or introduction speech by the organizers. This is done primarily to get the participants acquainted with the speed dating procedures.
An introduction speech to a speed dating event would actually look as follows.
In the speed dating event the participants will be allowed to meet their date, for 7 minutes, at the end of which a bell will be rung and the participant will move to the next date. Before the meet starts, the participants will be given scorecards and at the end of meeting each date, the participants will tick in their score cards. Once the event ends, the scorecards will be submitted to the organizers. They will look at the scorecards and where two cards have a yes marked for each other, they are said to be a match. The participants will be sent a private email with the results and it is up to them to move further on.
Thus, the event will start and there may be people who get more than one match and there may be people who may not get matches at all. But speed dating is just another way of finding prospective dates and this is the end of the world for those who may not be successful here.
